Activate Youth Camp 2016 is coming!

After last year’s life-transforming camp experience, we are happy to announce to you that Activate Youth Camp returns this July.

July 24th – 30th, 2016

Who we are

Annie’s Place Child Development Initiative is committed to the building of the total child; to give them the backbone and strength required to face the larger World. We are committed to building the total child on three (3) main Pillars: Equip Empower and Encourage.

One of the practical ways taken to achieve this is our annual Personal Development Camp, which helps teenagers to acquire Essential Life Skills.

Our approach in achieving this set of goals is to organize youth camps to impact valuable skills through interactive and practical sessions. We promote Godliness in youths by teaching and encouraging them to adhere to religious teachings and injunctions.

We also train and build the capacity of young people for the purpose of self-employment and entrepreneurship, thus making the youth wealth creators.

To be the foremost institute providing a comprehensive development of children, infant to 18 years, in Nigeria.

  • To improve the quality of life of the Nigerian Child and promote the welfare of children in the society.
  • To provide a platform for an all-round development of children in the society.
  • To support and promote the activities of education among young people and children.
  • To educate, train and build the capacity of young people for the purpose of self-employment and entrepreneurship.
  • To promote godliness in youths by teaching and encouraging them to adhere to religious teachings and injunctions.
  • To initiate the operation and management of non-profit projects in support of youth and child development.
  • To seek global opportunities for young people, especially children in all ramifications of life.

Our Programs

Activate Youth Camp

“Activate Youth Camp” is a 7-day residential personal development program for students JSS1-SSS2. Activate Camp is focused on building support networks for the participants through friendship and trust. Through self-belief, self-respect, a positive attitude and motivation, the participants will develop and harness methods, tools and skills to counter the challenges faced by today’s youth and basic personal, social and leadership skills to deal with future challenges

Our maiden program held between Sunday 28th of July and Saturday 3rd of August 2013, during which young people were equipped with the knowledge and practical experience in Emotional Intelligence, Financial Literacy, Etiquette , Communication, Vision and Goal Setting, Problem solving Skills, Domestic Arts (Cooking, Home and Self-Management), Entrepreneurial Skills, Handcraft, to mention a few. This we believe helped reinforce a solid foundation for our youth. We believe it is imperative to equip young youths for future roles.

Food Angel is an initiative of Annie’s Place CDI where we select indigent families within the community and share joy of some of the festive periods by providing them with food baskets.
